Each region carries its own culture; each culture its beliefs. And with them emerge codified ceremonies led by spiritual guides, masters of ceremony, and healers.
Through these rituals, the visible and the invisible histories of humankind unfold. Every tradition expresses its own spirituality and its own form of medicine.
Shaped slowly over centuries, these practices hold their own codes and secrets.
They bear the subtle imprint of ancient times — a quiet, enduring mystery.
My work explores how this mystery can be translated into photographic form.
Black and white removes the image from linear time.
Blur evokes the elusive nature of Spirit.
The absence of rigid reframing preserves the immediacy of the encounter.
The choice of tools becomes part of the narrative.
And an analog process, guided by latency, requires a mental projection of the scene — echoing the inner journey of participants in initiatory ceremonies, and of the healers themselves.
